SPECTRA

POLAROID

SPECTRA

Introduced in 1986

Introduced as a more professionally oriented offering. The Polaroid Spectra features wide format film, the largest ever offered from Polaroid. The camera features a flip-design in all of its iterations. This protects the cameras lens and other forward facing elements, while also providing it a signature aesthetic.

Large Format

The Spectra film has a glossy area of 3.5” x 2.9” . The largest produced by polaroid, it also has a different, more nuanced aspect ratio. The film is loaded into the camera through the bay in the front in the camera. You can use black and white or color film with the camera.

Sonar Autofocus

The spectra features an autofocus system that utilizes sonar to determine distance. When the exposure button is depressed slightly, a click can be heard. This is the autofocus system finding the right focus range for your photo.
